Real Science is about exploring the unknown in order to make some sense from what we can observe happening in the world around us. So the first step to understanding healing is to explore the unknown with someone who can be your guide and to take you through a process of learning and exploration. Anyone can attend my 'Healer Within' workshop but those with a science background are particularly welcome.

I trained as a Clinical Biochemist in the early 70's and at the peak of my scientific career was Head of a NHS Biochemistry Laboratory where I introduced many improvements to the diagnostic services and to patient bedside testing . Subsequently I worked for two years as a Quality Consultant before leaving the Health Service altogether in 1996. Since then, I have become a respected trainer, coach and speaker working across many domains including that of therapy and wellness. I was introduced to the ‘hands-on’ healing of Reiki in 1995 and became interested in the effects that it had with people and especially with animals. There is so much evidence around that it is ridiculous that scientists still appear to take very little interest in the effects elicited by ‘hand-on’ healing – effects which cannot simply be ‘palmed’ off as ‘placebo’. The process of healing elicits a very deep body and mind relaxation from which amazing things may happen. The best way for to learn about healing is simply to experience it - and there is no better way to experience it than to attend this one-day introduction. (If you wish you may then go on to complete a Level-1 Reiki certificate with me).
